Here, play and Montessori approach is the central part of a child's learning. Activities and lessons planned are to foster the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child. Our Starlight curriculum is filled with hands on thematic activities. Teachers work with the children individually and in small groups. Besides exposing children to the very basic of writing and reading, we emphasize on providing experiences for listening to story with multi-sensory presentation through music, finger plays, rhymes and art activities.
Intermediate
4 years old
Our philosophy is based on the concept that each child is an individual with a distinct pattern of development .Here, the Starlight curriculum uses the thematic and Montessori approach that offers a child, to grow and mature physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically. Providing the right amount of classroom work and with personal attention that will prepare the child to confidently develop his or her interest writing, reading and arithmetic
Pre-school
5 years old onwards
Active learning is the central element. Starlight TM incorporates Montessori approach together with national curriculum. Activities and lessons that are thematic based aim to foster the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child .In preparing the child for school, language and literacy, maths and science are taught in classroom setting. In addition, a prepared environment that consists of problem solving apparatus, science and nature, constructive and art craft materials encourages self discovery and initiative in children. Thus, children learn and remember better when they initiate the activity.
Thematic Lessons

Our Field Trip programs and inhouse projects ( Eg: Annual Concert, Malaysia Day, Sports Day & etc ) are designed for students to learn, have fun and discover their connections to the "Outside world". Additionally, these lessons follow a theme, eg. birds and insects. The lessons include project work that encourages discussion and sharing of ideas and observation and further enforce classroom discussions.
